Es war ein­fach toll! So viele Leute, so viele mir wich­tige Gesich­ter an einem so wun­der­vol­len Abend. Die Lesung lief groß­ar­tig, trotz eini­ger orga­ni­sa­to­ri­scher Schwie­rig­kei­ten hat letzt­end­lich doch alles geklappt. Und klei­nere tech­ni­sche Pan­nen konn­ten wir durch gekonn­tes Impro­vi­sie­ren aus­mer­zen. Ich möchte an die­ser Stelle allen Betei­lig­ten danken. It was just awe­some! So many people, so many faces — import­ant to me — and such a beau­ti­ful eve­ning. The lec­ture went great, des­pite some orga­niza­tio­nal dif­fi­cul­ties ever­y­thing tur­ned out well after all. Some smal­ler tech­ni­cal mishaps could be expun­ged by improvisation.I would like to thank all those who con­tri­bu­ted to this won­der­ful event.

Schon seit Schul­zei­ten kenne ich Mario, der eine aus­ge­spro­chene Vor­liebe für Kaba­rett hat und etli­che Sket­che auch mal selbst dar­bie­ten kann. Damit war er der ideale Ansprech­part­ner für die­ses Unter­fan­gen und hat durch etli­che lus­tige Ein­la­gen (Pan­to­mime zur Stand­pauke des Kapi­täns, Engel am Ende, Show­mas­ter am Beginn) einen Aus­gleich zu mei­ner puris­tisch und prag­ma­tisch gepräg­ten Her­an­ge­hens­weise geschaffen. I have known Mario ever since school. He has a strong affec­tion for caba­ret and knows several sket­ches by heart. Con­side­ring this he was the per­fect man to get invol­ved into this enter­prise. With several funny sketch con­tri­bu­ti­ons (pan­to­mime while the cap­tain got angry, angel at the end, show mas­ter at the begin­ning) he was balan­cing my more puristic and prag­ma­tic approach.

Da mir der andere Pia­nist erst zwei Tage vor der Lesung absagte, erfuhr Jens also erst am Mon­tag Abend, dass er am Mitt­woch spie­len sollte. Er war dann trotz einer anste­hen­den Prü­fung am Tag nach der Lesung bereit, den Klavier-​​Part zu über­neh­men. Wir tra­fen uns am Tag vor der Lesung zur Bespre­chung der Stü­cke. Trotz die­ser doch sehr kur­zen Vor­be­rei­tungs­zeit haute er dann ordent­lich in die Tas­ten und trug maß­geb­lich zur Atmo­sphäre der Lesung bei. Ich habe seine Kon­takt­da­ten, also wenn jemand mal auch einen Pia­nis­ten braucht, dann lasst es mich wissen. Since the other pia­nist cal­led off just two days ahead, I cal­led Jens on Mon­day eve­ning, asking him to play on Wed­nes­day. Des­pite a pen­ding exam on the day after, he agreed to take over the piano part. We met the day before the lec­ture to talk about the piano pie­ces. Des­pite this short pre­pa­ra­tion period he did a great job and con­tri­bu­ted chiefly to the atmo­s­phere of the lec­ture. I’ve got his con­tact data, so just let me know if you need a piano man.

Auch Hubi möchte ich für sein Trom­pe­ten­solo vom Beginn dan­ken, das passte ein­fach gut! I would also like to thank Hubi who had the trum­pet solo at the begin­ning, that just worked fine!
